Alex Katz
Guest Instructor
Katz was drafted out of St. John's University by the Chicago White Sox and had a stint with the Baltimore Orioles before going back to the White Sox. Katz most recently participated in the 2017 World Baseball Classic representing Team Israel in which he helped lead them to a top 6 finish! He now plays in the Kansas City Royals Organization. He's faced elite hitters such as Eloy Jimenez, Didi Gregorious, and Xander Bogaerts. Alex brings years of experience to the scouts!
Mike Olt

Olt is a former first round pick out of UCONN. He was drafted in 2010 by the Texas Rangers and made his major league debut in 2012. Olt was traded to the Chicago Cubs in 2013 where he enjoyed parts of two seasons there. He was the 3B for the Cubs right before Kris Bryant in 2015. Olt signed with the Chicago White Sox at the end of the 2015 season and holds the record as the only player in MLB history to homer for both Chicago teams in the same MLB season. Mike is now a coach and a rep for the Chandler bat company.
Sam Kessler
Guest Instructor
Kessler is a native of local Mt. Sinai High school and 2016 graduate. He then went on to play at The University of West Virginia. Kessler was then selected by the Detroit Tigers in the 2019 MLB draft. Sam brings so much value to our pitchers through his experience and because of his work ethic.
Zach Goldstein
Guest Instructor
Goldstein graduated from SNHU in 2017 and shortly after signed with the Long Island Ducks. He currently runs Pro Diamond Training to help young players develop their skills. At SNHU he was top two all time in hits, 1st in triples, 10th in home runs, and 9th all time in batting average. Zach brings years of experience and stories stories of hard and dedication to the Scouts Academy.
Ed Baram
Guest Instructor
Baram was recently drafted by the Athletics out of Adelphi University where he led all of D2 with an ERA of 1.32 which was the best in the nation! Ed brings so much pitching experience and knowledge to the scouts organization. Â

Eric Young Jr.
Guest Instructor
Young Jr. was drafted in 2003Â and made his major league debut with Rockies in 2009. Eric was traded to the NY Mets mid 2013. In 2015 he played parts of the season with the Atlanta Braves and ended up rejoining the Mets in the Gotham city. In 2016 the New York Yankees acquired Eric and in 2017 he was signed by the Angels. Eric Young Jr. was the NL stolen base champion in 2013 for the Mets where he stole 46 bases.
